Come with family, friends, and pets to Zilker Park for one of Austin’s best-known annual events—the Kite Festival. This event kicks off a number of spring events, and is an opportunity to enjoy the good weather against the backdrop of thousands of kites in the blue sky. The event has traditionally been held on the first Sunday in March.
Over the past few years the event has been cancel a few times because of the weather. In 2019 the events has now been moved to the end of March, Sunday the 31. You can register your homemade kite for the Kite content on their website. Hopefully this event will continue to attract big crowds and not turn into a drone fest any time soon.
