May Events 2019

Staff EVENT PICS

One month left before Summer time and the heat hits S Texas. Like always there are some good shows coming to ATX in May, a few fests, and other random fun stuff for our entertainment. There are also many cool events and festivals just a short drive into the Texas Hill County. Check our listing for Texas Hill County Events for more information.

JMBLYA: May 4

Circuit of The Americas

A traveling hip hop fest with some big name acts is heading to ATX this year. Lil Wayne is just one of the headliners headed to the race track.

Pecan Street Spring Arts Festival: May 4-5

6th Street
www.pecanstreetfestival.org

A great fest with or without the kids. Art boots galore, live music, cool stuff for the kids, and a great excuse to hit the bars on 6th street during the day. It typical has a nice crowd without being too packed.
Blues on the Green: May 22
The free concert series in Zilker Park starts up in May. Quality acts play in the park for free one Wednesday each month. Parking can be a little difficult as this is a very popular, free, fun event. Many of the ATX locals like to get the party started early at the bars and restaurant just around the corner.

La bohème: May 5

IT’s the last showing of the season for this famous Opera. You have to live in a pretty cool city to have an opera house.

Austin Sketch Fest: May 21 – 27

Multiple Locations

Comedy troops from Austin and all over come to tickle our funny bone. Most of the shows are located at ColdTowne Theater, The North Door, or Fallout Theater.

Dave Chappelle & Aziz Ansari: May 6 – 8

Paramount Theater

A little bit of a bummer one of the funnies dudes on earth is coming to ATX on a Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, but he is also playing at the Paramount, one of the coolest venues around.
