One month left before Summer time and the heat hits S Texas. Like always there are some good shows coming to ATX in May, a few fests, and other random fun stuff for our entertainment. There are also many cool events and festivals just a short drive into the Texas Hill County. Check our listing for Texas Hill County Events for more information. While many of the traditional May events are a no go this year, there is one GIGANTIC addition to the May events schedule in Austin, NASCAR
NASCAR at COTA May 21-23
Circuit of The Americas
One of the biggest new scores for the City of Austin. NASACAR has made it to the music capital of the world. It’s on top of our fun to-do list for the month. The first of what will hopefully be an annual ATX tradition.
Pecan Street Spring Arts Festival: Postponed

A great fest with or without the kids. Art boots galore, live music, cool stuff for the kids, and a great excuse to hit the bars on 6th street during the day. It typical has a nice crowd without being too packed.
Blues on the Green: Maybe Coming Back in the Summer
The free concert series in Zilker Park starts up in May. Quality acts play in the park for free one Wednesday each month. Parking can be a little difficult as this is a very popular, free, fun event. Many of the ATX locals like to get the party started early at the bars and restaurant just around the corner.
Austin Opera at Circuit of the Americas May 1
To keep things safe, the Austin Opera has moved their performances outside. The last performance of Tosca is May `.
The Testical Festival
No word yet on their facebook page about the testical festival that is typical held in May at the Castell General Store. Fingers crossed for this Texas Hill Country road trip.

Other May Event information
May Fest in Marble falls is a go in 2021. May 5-8. It’s Carnival at Johnson Park. Live Music and Friday and Saturday night.
Kerrville Folk Festival: – Virtual for this Spring, plans for in-person event possible in October ne of the bigger music events of the year in the Texas Hill Country. They offer day, weekend, and full festival passes. Camping is available.
Hot Luck Fest – Postponed
