OLD SETTLER’S MUSIC FESTIVAL: APRIL 16-19

Started in 1987, this is one of the older big time music festivals in the Texas Hill Country. It is one of several music fests in the area that provides a weekend of onsite camping. The music is blues, bluegrass, and acoustic. This year the festival is located just outside of Lockhart.

THE LONESTAR ROUND UP: April 17-18
A huge outdoor car show and live music festival with tons of vintage hot rods and custom cars driven here from all over the country, and bringing visitors from all over the world. The event is officially located at the Travis County Expo Center, but we always like to cruise the strip on S Congress instead. This year one of our buddies took us out in his 67 Chevy Truck, and we had a ball.
ART CITY AUSTIN FESTIVAL APRIL 17-19

Like most events in Austin, this classic art festival also features live music and great food. It’s a nice event for both the adults and the kids.
AUSTIN REGGAE FEST: APRIL 17-19
Your standard Reggae Fest, located near downtown at Auditorium Shores. It’s a fun fest, and the crowds in years past have not been stupid crowded.
MOONTOWER COMEDY FESTIVAL: APRIL 22-25
The comedy word descends on Austin for three days of stand-up. Big time acts have made this event very popular. The 3 day event is hosted by Paramount Theater, with shows all over town.
