Looking for some happy hour drink specials in East Austin? East 6th street and the surrounding blocks is the home base for the hipsters of the ATX. There has been an absolute explosion of new bars, restaurants and condos now engulf the handful of classic places like Hotel Vegas and Cisco. What was once considered more of a “rough” part of town, is now considered by some nicer than the original dirty sixty scene just a few blocks away. Many of the bars and restaurants are on 6th, with a growing number of other establishments a few blocks north and south.
