East Sixth is the home base for the hipsters in Austin. There has been an absolute explosion of new bars, restaurants and condos now engulf the handful of classic places like Hotel Vegas and Cisco. What was once considered more of a “rough” part of town, is now considered by some nicer than the original dirty sixty scene just a few blocks away. Most of the bars and restaurants are on 6th, with a handful of other establishments a few blocks north and south.
