Life is starting to turn back to normal. Hopefully Omicron won’t cancel too many events in the Music Capital of the World!

Carnaval Brasileiro – COVID CANCELED

Probably needed to be done, per their website it might be re-scheduled. This is one of the best and most underrated events in Austin.

Jo’s Chili Cook-Off – Feb 6

One of the first events of February in Austin. 15th Annual Chili Cook-Off. Entry to the event is free. wristband option at the event to taste chili from some of Austin’s best restaurants and amateur culinary talent. Live music & cold beer. It might be a little too cold from the first winter blast for us to make this one.

illFest – Feb 18-19

I have to admin, it made me kinda old when I went to the website to check this one out. I don’t know a single band, and I don’t really “get” the website or music genra of this fest. It’s a mulit day thing at Circu of the Americas.

Austin Marathon – Feb 20

Typical there are about 20,000 racers. You can do a 1/2 marathon if you like, or just join the big block party downtown at the finish line. As of publishing time for this article, the marathon is still a go.

OUTsider Festival – Feb 22

OUTsider brings together Austin’s LGBTQI community for three days of creation and inspiration. This multidisciplinary art festival showcases film, performance art, music, visual art and more. Hosted at the VORTEX

Radwood -Feb 26

Located at Circuit of the Americas., it’s billed as the “The premiere automotive lifestyle event celebrating the 80s and 90s.” I’ve seen a lot of cool stuff at the racetrack over the years that isn’t the big F1 Race. This looks like something new and exciting for the ATX fun bloggers.

Cirque du Soleil Feb 23-27

The iconic Cirque du Soleil is coming to the Austin Area. Head  to the HEB Center in Cedar Park because the Circus is in town.

Austin Oyster Festival – Feb 26

It’s back with COVID precautions in 2022. One of the newer festivals to ATX, we had a ball last year. It’s rain or shine with no refunds. Can’t send all the seafood back. $70 General Admission includes entrance fee, live entertainment and 7 festival vouchers(valued at $5 each) . Additional $5 vouchers may be purchased inside the festival as needed.​ Pet Friendly.
