SXSW – March 10- 19
One of the biggest events in the country is back for the second year post COVID. South by Southwest started out as a festival for small act from around the world to come play of music industry insiders during UT’s spring break. It has grown over the years into a massive hybrid business conference and large scale music fest. One could argue it ironically has evolved into exactly the type of even the original festival strived to NOT TO BE. Its kinda like Cooperate America, a bunch of California hipsters, and social media marketing execs were put in charge of Mardi Gras. The heart of it is still during AISD spring breaks, so our Krew almost always leaves town for this event.
Rodeo Austin – March 10-25
Anther one of Austin’s keynote events, the rodeo is fun event to attend. It’s not as big as the San Antinio or Houston Rodes, but it’s big enought to be big time. The rodeo features music acts, carnival rides, games, food, and of course rodeo and livestock events.
