Pecan Street Festival
The Pecan Street festival offers the best of Austin. Art vendors come with their crafts from worldwide to showcase it on 6th Street. The festival also features an impressive variety of live music acts and food vendors that are not to be missed. This is one of the few events that I find both kid friendly and a great place to go out drinking with the buddies. Most of the festival is outside with horse rides, face painting, and boucey houses for the kids. The bars are also open and packed most of the day. It’s a large event with a ton of vendors and people in attendance every year. Typical held in late September.
